Böttchergasse

In 1462, Böttchergasse was still referred to as "nuwe Gasse in der olden stat" (new alley in the old town). In inheritance records from the 16th and 17th century, it was already referred to as Böttigergasse oder Neue Gasse (new alley).

At the end of the 18th century, the street name referred only to the smaller part between Pfefferstadt to Paradiesgasse. Böttchergasse was used since the 19th century.
