Große Krämergasse

Initially, this alley probably got its name from the amber turners living here, who were also called paternoster makers, since their main occupation was the production of rosaries. Only from 1377/78 the German name Cremergosse appears, to run parallel to the old name until at least 1415. Even today it is translated as Krämergasse.
