History

The two above-mentioned names encompassed the entire area, namely the later: Holzschneidergasse, Mottlaugasse, Wallplatz, An der Steinschleuse, and Am Leeger Tor. Only in the 19th century were the names restricted to their later extents. In 1920, Holzschneidergasse was renamed Am Trumpfturm.
