Am Wall
Długa Grobla
History
The road running behind the bastions was originally simply called Am Wall (At the Rampart); only from 1854 did the designation Langgarter Wall come into use. According to a 1945 city map, the western part of this street was called Długi Wał (Long Rampart), while the eastern part was called Długa Grobla (Long Dam). After a few years, the second designation was extended to the entire street again.
