History

Named after Sanitätsrat (Medical Councillor) Dr. Benzler (1811–1897), patron of the seaside resort of Zoppot, who settled here in 1849. Today this street bears the name of the Polish economist Dr. hab. Jan Winiecki, who was born in Zoppot.
