Drehergasse

This alley should actually be called Trägergasse (Porters' Lane). It has been mentioned without a name since 1357. Since that time it was predominantly inhabited by porters and crate makers. Hence the two above-mentioned names. Only over time did the name become corrupted to Drehergasse (Turners' Lane). In this form the name has appeared since 1633.
