Erwin-von-Scheubner-Richter-Straße

Piaskowa

History

A small sunken lane branching off westward from Radaunestraße. At the end of the street there was temporarily a sand pit — hence the name. Before this official naming, the area was called Sandkante (Sand Edge) by the locals. The second renaming took place after 1933. Comically, this small street was given a "hero's name" that is nearly longer than the street itself.
