Graue Nonnengasse

From 1608 and into the 18th century the street was called Graue Nonnengasse (Grey Nuns' Lane). Walter Stephan believes the name dates back to the founding period of the convent, although written evidence is lacking. Today this alley's name translates to Nuns' Lane.
