Grenzfießer Straße

This street, which bore its name simply because it led in the direction of Neustadt, had its southern part renamed in 1933, together with its southern continuations Pommersche Straße and Danziger Straße, as Adolf-Hitler-Straße. In return, house number 5 of the neighboring Heimstraße was on this occasion added as Neustädter Straße 43. These merged streets today bear the name Independence Avenue.
