Große Gerbergasse

Called by this name, unchanged in its known extent, since 1357. At the end of the 18th century, the prefix Große (Great) was merely added to distinguish it from the Kleine Gerbergasse (Small Tanners' Lane). Even today it is still called Tanners' Lane in translation.
