Hansagasse
History
This lane was only created after the demolition of the ramparts, from part of the street Am Olivaer Tor and newly gained land. Until 1909, it was called Am Lazarett after the neighboring city hospital. The 1918 address book gives the name form Hinterm Lazarett. It was then renamed Hansagasse. After the war, renamed ul. Kupiecka (Merchants' Lane), it was completely abolished after the demolition of the ruins still standing there. After some time, however, around the mid-1960s, an office complex was built here, whose 2 buildings bear the address ul. Kupiecka. The old street pavement is still present and clearly visible to this day.
