Heeresanger

After 1945, this street was initially renamed after the Polish socialist Mieczysław Niedziałkowski (1893–1940). Around 1950, it was renamed again, this time after Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky. The most recent renaming took place around 1990. Today it is called, in translation, Avenue of the Legions. Since it is not specified which legions are meant, they are probably the Roman ones, for there were very many of those.
