Jana z Kolna

History

Originally a continuation of the Neuer Damm connecting the Old Town with the Young Town. In the 17th century, it was listed under the above-mentioned designations. In 1899, it was renamed Schichaugasse after Ferdinand Schichau, the builder and owner of the adjacent Schichau Shipyard. After the war, the street was named after Johannes Scolvus (1435–1484), in the Polish spelling of this name.
