Hochstrieß

Until at least 1908, this street leading toward Brentau was called Brentauer Chaussee. From 1912, it was then listed on street maps under the name Hochstrieß. This new name comes from the Strießbach, along whose upper course the street runs. After the war, it was merged with its extension, the Brentauer Weg, and renamed after the Polish national poet Juliusz Słowacki.
