Hohe Seigen
History
This area was handed over to the fishermen of the Hakelwerk so that they could store and sell their catches in Seigen (fish traps) in the Radaune Canal. Apart from the first above-mentioned designation, both banks of the Radaune Canal were called "mang den Seigen" (among the fish traps) until the end of the 18th century. Only since then has a distinction been made between Leege Seite (Low Side) and Hohe Seite (High Side). How the unique Weißer Gang (White Passage) came about cannot be explained. Today it is called High Fishermen in translation.
