Letzter Graben

This lane, like most in the Lower Town, was created around the middle of the 17th century. Initially the stretch between Abeggasse and Grabengasse was called Bärengasse (Bear Lane), while the rest was called Läwgasse. From 1763 it was then called Letzter Graben (Last Ditch), to which from 1817 the neighboring Grabengasse was also counted. In 1881 it then received its final name Grüner Weg (Green Way). Since the war it has been called, in translation, Green Lane.
