History

Originally, this street — laid out after the construction of the Eastern Railway on a section of the park cut off by the railway — was called Mariengasse. On 14 November 1933, it was renamed Breughelstraße after one of the military commanders of World War I. Since the war, its name translates as Quiet Street.
