Matzkauschegasse
History
Mentioned since 1357 as a cross street off the Langgasse without a name of its own. From 1415 onwards it was listed under the name Matczkausche Gasse. The name derives from the esteemed burgher family Matzkau, who had their properties here. Since the war, its name translates as Aldermen's Lane.
