Polnischer Haken

This street was actually the road to one of the farms on the Strohdeich. Built up during the 19th century, it bore two names until around 1902: the smaller section (house numbers 1 to 3) was called Polnischer Haken, the larger one (house numbers 5 to 13) Kalkofen (Lime Kiln). Today the entire area is shipyard grounds.
