Schäferei

This was the name given to a part of the Bleihofinsel. The name dates from the Teutonic Order period. Here were the storage yards and commercial facilities of the Order's steward, which served trade operations. After the war, it was called Owczarnia (sheepfold in the sense of sheep breeding) for a few years. The present-day name is a correct translation of the original name.
