Schönfelder Brücke

Podmiejska

History

This street takes its name from the bridge over the Radaune Canal, on the route via Schönfeld (Łostowice) to Berent (Kościerzyna). In its lower part, it forms the boundary between the possessions of the Pelplin Monastery (Pelpliner Hopfenbruch) to the north, and the Ohra Hopfenbruch belonging to Danzig to the south. The eastern continuation of this boundary was probably formed by the former Boltengasse. The street was occasionally also called Schönfelder Brücke.
