Steinschleuse

The two above names encompassed the entire area, namely the later: Holzschneidergasse, Mottlaugasse, Wallplatz, An der Steinschleuse, and Am Leeger Tor. Only in the 19th century was the name restricted to its later extent, and named after the stone sluice built here in 1629-32.
