Kleine Bäckergasse

The streets of the Hakelwerk, to which the alley belonged, only received their own names in the first decades of the 17th century. A plan from 1608 describes them all as plateae anonymae (unnamed street). 1619 the name Bäckergasse is first found in the official documents outlining inheritance matters, which initially also applied to the Plappergasse. As early as 1624, a distinction was made between the large Bäckergasse (later the Plappergasse) and the small Bäckergasse.
