Kleine Pfaffengasse
History
Originally a small dead-end lane in which a certain Gottschalk Nase actually owned a property. From 1415 a through street that took its name from the priests' houses located here. Between 1690 and 1845 it was called Kleine Pfaffengasse to distinguish it from the Große Pfaffengasse, the later Pfaffengasse. Around 1839 the name Erste Priestergasse began to prevail.
